Firefox 7 improves browsing speed, developer tools
Mozilla has published Firefox 7,There are some new changes.such as hidden URL prefixes,bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements.the latest update is the third edition of the developer's rapid-ship cycle.
Firefox 7 improves memory handling significantly, something we noticed in our tests and the folks at Mozilla Hacks pointed out as well-especially when compared to Firefox 6. Firefox 7 boasts a number of other small improvements as well: the http:// prefix is hidden in all places, bookmark and password changes sync near-instantly with Firefox Sync, and the usual round of bug and stability improvements were included.
There are some firefox's new features:
- Optimize memory :Reduce memory usage and improve performance.including response, starting and page load time,even running in a complex web and network applications.when users open a new tab he will feel it's going fast
- Improved memory management:The javascript recycle bin promote the working band to release memory and improve the long time to open a site.
- Support the new hardware acceleration:Azure Direct2D for Canvas to help firefox up speed.
- A bug was fixed that caused large additions to xul:tree elements to hang for long times when accessibility was turned on. This could be observed in add-ons such as Adblock Plus on occasion.
- support W3C navigation timing spec API:Developers can measure the page load time and navigation relative to the bandwidth, speed, traffic and other factors.
- Extended performance reporting Telemetry:inorder to improve the version of firefox,user can chose Telemetry.
